A lot of folks thought Rusev had all the tools to become WWE Champion before he was shockingly let go in April 2020. Not to worry, those same people opined, because Tony Khan would surely get the best from the renamed Miro and put things right. Or not. Miro's AEW run was spotty at best, which is being kind. He'd eventually ask for his release in September 2024, then see it rubber stamped in early 2025.

Will the Bulgarian go down as one of wrestling's biggest 'what could've been' stories? Or, will he fight his way back to prominence in WWE under Triple H? The big guy's on the market as one of wrestling's hottest free agents right now.
