6. SmackDown Women's Title: Liv Morgan (c) Vs. Shayna Baszler
Result: Liv finally took Shayna down with a Codebreaker followed by an Oblivion to retain the title (11:02).
Rating: On paper it wasn't easy to buy into the fact that Liv could beat Shayna, especially with Liv's injured arm, but to her credit she worked hard here to try and prove her skeptics wrong.
Despite the expectation of shenanigans, this was a good clean fight that hit a solid stride after a slow start.
The crowd was unfortunately dead for long stretches of it - surely due to it following the match of the night - but Liv played the underdog champion role well while Shayna was the tenacious beast targeting her arm.
Liv's totally clean, uncontroversial win was an interesting choice, and you do have to wonder how losses like this harm Shayna's stock in the long run. Either way, a decent match and one that certainly raised Liv's standing as champ. 6/10
