WWE Clash In Italy 2026: 8 Nightmares That Could Come True

1. Or They Run The “Retirement” A Second Time!

Triple H has a nasty habit of spinning his wheels creatively and effectively booking the same sequences over and over until he's finally ready to progress the story. These are lower tier examples, but just look at Johnny Gargano doing the same 'dead sell' every week, or how many times Judgment Day has looked like splitting before creative conveniently forgets about it.

Some sort of rinse and repeat segment with Brock seemingly retiring would fall on deaf ears a second time. It worked at WrestleMania 42 because nobody saw it coming, but here? Nah, they couldn’t get away with doing this a second time in quick succession. Fans in Italy would be swept up in the atmosphere of Lesnar vs. Oba, but even that wouldn't be enough to trick them into believing that Brock was actually calling it a career.

You don't get away with running that kind of spot repeatedly. You just don't.

'Mania 42 wasn't that long ago (it was last month!), so seeing Lesnar remove his boots, gloves etc before tearfully waving goodbye to the WWE spotlight wouldn't hit at Clash In Italy. They'd need to be real thick to try this again, not least after Brock's last "retirement" turned out to be a ruse.

Don't tease us with another bye bye, 'Beast'. Not many would buy it.
