WWE Dublin Live Review - 10 Interesting Observations You Need To Know

1. Seth Rollins€™ Last Match As WWE World Heavyweight Champion

The main event saw Seth Rollins defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against the Demon Kane in a No Holds Barred Match, involving a kendo stick, a steel chair and two table spots, the second of which would throw a spanner in the WWE€™s works entirely. The match itself was a lot of fun to watch, with both competitors getting huge reactions from the audience. At one point, Rollins got on the mic and asked if we knew who he was, explaining that he is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and if Kane stands up once again, it€™ll be the last time he ever does (cruel irony would ensue not long after, however) before Kane countered a springboard knee strike with a kendo stick to the mid-section. The first table spot saw Kane set the table up in the corner, before driving himself through it as Rollins ducked out of the way. But as Seth set up the second table, and Kane attempted to Superplex the champion through it, Rollins attempted a sunset flip to transition into a powerbomb, landing very awkwardly on his right leg, injuring it in the process. Keep in mind that this was in no way Kane's fault. It was just an unfortunate landing on Seth's part. Not allowing injury to get the better of him, Rollins would stand up, deliver the powerbomb through the table and still only achieve a two-count. A lot of sites failed to acknowledge that Rollins would then perform a pedigree onto a steel chair for the victory, delivered awkwardly on both sides, likely to favour the leg, although it could have done more damage. After the match, Kane quickly slid out of the ring to the back, and as fans poured to the exits, the more eagle-eyed members of the WWE Universe could sense that Rollins€™ leg was badly hurt. At first I was hoping that it was a scripted angle to tease a cash-in from Sheamus, but Rollins was obviously hurt considering how long it took to get out. As you may know by now, Seth Rollins is confirmed to have suffered ACL/MCL/medical meniscus tears during the match, and has had to relinquish the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, with a new titleholder likely being crowned at Survivor Series. All I can say is it is a damn shame, considering the year the man has had, and it€™s quite upsetting to have seen him get hurt in our hometown. You have to give the man props for finishing the match too. A lot of wrestlers have done it, but it takes a lot of dedication, and it didn€™t go unnoticed. All we can do is wish Seth Rollins a speedy recovery, and hope that when he returns, he regains his spot at the top.
