WWE Elimination Chamber 2017: 10 Things That Must Happen

2. AJ Styles Doesn't Get Overlooked

AJ Styles was the glue holding together SmackDown's main event scene during the second half of 2016; after winning the WWE Title at Backlash in September from Dean Ambrose, AJ established himself as an able headliner in the company - the kind of guy top brass could depend upon to carry shows on his back.

Losing the belt to John Cena at the Royal Rumble shouldn't spell the end for AJ's run at the top of the card; the world-travelled Styles has earned his stripes in WWE, and deserves to remain firmly in the main event mix. Besides, fan reactions suggest it's only a matter of time before he's turned babyface again.

There's no need to job AJ out inside the Chamber; if anything, AJ has shown why he should be the bout's MVP, the kind of performer who can thrill fans with death-defying moves and stunts for his first appearance in the infamous structure.

A strong performance on Sunday may well parlay into the beginning of a babyface turn, now he no longer has SmackDown's top belt.
