WWE Elimination Chamber 2025: 7 Things That Must Happen

3. Which Leads To A ‘Final Boss’ Beatdown

The Rock Cody Rhodes
WWE

"Not good enough".

Cody's head would be cocked to the side after hearing that, then The Rock would slap the dye out his hair before delivering a 'Final Boss' sized beatdown like we'd gone back in time to the 'Mania 40 build. Of course, it's important that WWE keeps some distance between this kicking and the one KO is giving Sami Zayn. Otherwise, things will bleed together and neither will feel as impactful.

Triple H also has another huge choice to make on Saturday night. He can have Roman Reigns in attendance to put a stop to Rock's beating if need be. Again, that could be far too samey and dilute the significance of Randy Orton saving Zayn from Owens. Choices, choices, choices. It'd definitely get people talking if the 'Tribal Chief' did go nose to nose with the 'Final Boss'.

Attentions would turn to Vegas and the long-awaited Rock vs. Roman showdown. If that isn't in the works, then skip this bit and just have Rocky whip Cody with his own weight belt some more. The company has bags of time to work things out on TV before mid-April anyway. They don't have anymore main roster PPVs/PLEs on the schedule, but Raw and SmackDown will need banner moments.

The Rock certainly shouldn't take kindly to being turned down when he's giving Cody quite the olive branch. This might well be the only way to take the story in the short-term. It was kinda thrust upon creative due to Rock getting involved again so suddenly last weekend, but they can still make the best of it.
