WWE Expected To Sign Joe Hendry Imminently (WWE News)
Current TNA Champion Joe Hendry made waves at WrestleMania 41. He's about to make more.

PWInsider Elite is reporting that it's "pretty much considered a lock" that WWE will move to sign reigning TNA Champion and viral star Joe Hendry once his contractual obligations to TNA have been fulfilled. In other words, the Scot has a bright future ahead of him, and he's about to move up a notch in the pro wrestling world.
This will be music to the ears of those who enjoy Hendry's charismatic approach, creativity and energetic performances. He made some waves by showing up on NXT programming last year and pulling huge numbers, but then Joe kicked off 2025 with twin Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 41 showings that impressed all the right people behind the scenes.
Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Orton and even John Cena have all publicly gushed with praise for Hendry.
There's no word just yet on exactly how long Joe has left on his current TNA deal, but it'll be obvious to anybody who has been paying attention that there's significant WWE interest (and there has been for a long time). Put it this way: WWE don't just draft anybody in out of the cold as a replacement for major stars like Kevin Owens on the grand stage of 'Mania.
That was a huge show of faith in Hendry's work, and he'll be rightly pleased that Randy also went to bat for him backstage.
WrestleMania 41 Won't Be Hendry's Last

Triple H and his creative team have a lot to think about before next year's WrestleMania 42 slaps, but having a fresh name like Joe Hendry on WWE's books could help. The promotion were criticised by some fans for the build towards this year's bumper weekender - many complained that the build was lacklustre on TV and lacked the necessary oomph required for a two-night PLE of such standing.
The good news is that it doesn't look like 'Mania 41 will be Hendry's last. His journey towards an even bigger spot at 42 starts now, and...would anybody bet against the popular star improving on 2025 in 2026?! It'd take a brave fan to do that considering Joe's determination and 'against all odds' career thus far.
Hendry has some powerful allies behind the curtain in WWE. Top players like Hunter, HBK, Orton and Cena all wish him well, and it's in Triple H's best interests to promote Joe as much as possible once he signs on the dotted line full time. According to PWInsider's sources, that will happen imminently/as soon as his TNA deal lapses.
Excellent news.
