What you may have missed is the first mainstream pairing of these two four years earlier in the WWE. Again, this is a little gem hidden in the refuse of the Invasion epoch. It is a very heavy gimmicked match with Stop! signs, trolleys etc. However spots like the finale gore trade-off is so well done that it proves the value of "hardcore" wrestling, as it dances on the lines between a garbage brawl and storytelling. The follow up in TNA was a best of this match, still good but nowhere close to this beauty.
