WWE Fastlane 2016: 10 Awesome Moments

5. Edge References Lance Storm

Before Fastlane began, the odds on a Lance Storm reference must have been pretty low. After all, the famed Canadian grappler hasn't been seen in WWE for many years, but that didn't stop Edge from mentioning him during one segment. That skit was the 'Cutting Edge Peep Show' put on by he and Christian. The time-filler of the pay-per-view, this segment seemed there only to poise the League Of Nations for a future WWE Tag-Team Title shot against The New Day. At times, it did feel a little light on content, especially when Sheamus and crew became involved in proceedings. Before then, New Day and the hosts traded some witty, comedic banter that garnered some laughs. Even before Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods graced Fastlane with their presence, Edge asked the crowd if he "could be serious for a minute". Pausing, he then named Lance Storm, and a modest cheer broke out amongst the live audience. That was one impossible to foresee coming, but it was a pretty cool little moment.
