WWE Great Balls Of Fire: 8 Best Booking Scenarios For Tonight

1. Lesnar Inches Past Joe In The Main Event

An even more ideal scenario would have popular full-timer Samoa Joe defeating waning-in-popularity part-timer Brock Lesnar. But that is way too unlikely even for this list.

Lesnar vs. Joe looks unlikely to become a series, with Lesnar probably moving on to a new challenger for SummerSlam. So it is critical that the champion beats the challenger definitively. No interference, no foot under the ropes, no draws, nothing like that.

At the same time, this must be an absolute war. Both men have to come out of this looking like the tough bastards everyone knows them to be. It absolutely cannot be a squash reminiscent of Lesnar vs. Ambrose at WrestleMania 32. Brock beats Joe, but only because he was momentarily the better wrestler. The contest should definitely give off the feel that a rematch could easily swing either way.

Also of vital importance: this has to be the main event. Roman Reigns has been in the main event of every single PPV he's competed in this year. With a stipulation attached to Reigns' match, it makes it all the more likely that management will give him the final slot on the card.

However, considering how the build for Great Balls of Fire has focused on this bout, it hopefully looks like WWE has already figured this out.
