Then: Whether they were Los Matadores, The Shining Stars or the plain old Colons, Primo and Epico felt like they were always on the periphery of WWE importance. By 2018, various injuries had taken their toll, but Primo did appear in the Greatest Royal Rumble. WWE needed warm bodies to fill spots, and he was one of them.

At least Carlito's brother can say he worked 5 minutes in the match before being tossed out by the legendary Kurt Angle. That's better than being eliminated by Hornswoggle or somebody like that! You've got to take your "wins" where you can, eh? Technically, Primo was part of the SmackDown roster at the time, which is really one of the only things the announcers had to say about him.

They were a hair away from saying: 'So eh...he's a wrestler who...wrestles, and...and...he's related to Carlito!'.

Now: Both Primo and Epico returned to Puerto Rico and the sanctuary of the WWC once they were released as part of those unfortunate budget cuts in April 2020. In truth, the team had actually been appearing back home even when their WWE contracts were still running. That was unique at the time. Vince McMahon didn't typically let his roster work elsewhere for different promotions.

Primo then had a brief run in TNA in early-2025. It was a blink and you'll miss it situation, but he probably enjoyed the experience anyway. His fans should temper any hopes of a WWE return. It's unlikely at this point in time. Unlikely, but not impossible right? Right?!

Primo for champ confirmed.
