Then: WWE stalwart Mark Henry hadn't hit the ring since a WrestleMania 33 pre-show Battle Royal in April 2017 when he surprisingly marched through the curtain over in Saudi Arabia a year or so later. Being brutally honest, this is all Vince McMahon thought big Mark had left in the tank by 2018. He hadn't been working regularly since 2016-ish, and it was clear that time was catching up to the powerhouse.

Thus, he worked just over 3 minutes in the Greatest Royal Rumble before bowing out courtesy of opening duo Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler. Before vanishing, Henry had a face to face with Rumble one off Hiroki Sumi that WWE appeared keen to push on commentary as seismic. It wasn't.

Not in the slightest.

Now: Mark was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame by his good pal Big Show before the GRR. His appearances were sporadic after that, then something huge and unexpected happened: Henry announced that he was on the outs with the E, and was adding a few more letters onto the end of that to become Elite. Yep, he was joining AEW.

'The World's Strongest Commentator' debuted at Double Or Nothing 2021 to reveal that he'd be an announcer more than a wrestler. He'd also do some coaching behind the scenes. That stint lasted for around 3 years before Mark left All Elite and inked a legends deal back home with WWE. He's a better fit for Triple H's league than Khan's, to tell the truth.
