Whilst I almost certainly would have gone with the Europeans picking up the titles here, the duo winning by disqualification is a begrudgingly effective way for RAW's tag team division to keep on moving. The show needs to find five teams for Survivor Series, and their tag division is looking so weak that these two taking part is almost a must.

The real takeaway from this match must be the teamwork of Cesaro & Sheamus. Despite a fairly awful backstage segment beforehand, the two conjured up a siege mentality to come within a whisker of winning the straps. Sheamus in particular stepped up to the plate, putting himself in harm's way more than once for his partner.

The New Day retain on PPV despite losing by DQ once again (the third time it has happened during their reign), Cesaro & Sheamus have a legitimate reason for a re-match and we don't have to see Cesaro vs. Sheamus for at least another month. Nobody wins, but everyone wins.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
