WWE are interested in bringing back Alberto Del Rio, PWInsder are reporting. The company has been scouting out a top Hispanic star, as it is an area they are under-represented in. They had talked to Carlito a few weeks back, but another name that has came up a few times is Alberto Del Rio. Potential ideas that would involve Del Rio have been discussed by WWE, but it isn't certain if contact has been made yet. One issue that would stop the return, is Del Rio's involvement with AAA and Lucha Underground. He's the current AAA Mega Champion, and Lucha Underground is set to return for its second series with Del Rio as the key attraction. With that in mind, a comeback is unlikely. There's also the controversial nature of Del Rio's firing in 2014, when he slapped an employee for allegedly making a racist joke. Del Rio didn't have too many good things to say about WWE after that, although it was always rumoured that Triple H always wanted to bring him back further down the line. The 38 year old has also been linked with a return to MMA. He even did an interview with UFC recently, which caused speculation that he could be coming in as CM Punk's first MMA fight.
