With WWE looking to use more minimalist sets for shows when ticket demand is high, the market leader is set to make another production change.

Per PWInsider, WWE will be pulling back on how much Augmented Reality content they use on a weekly basis. While such content will still be used on occasion - such as for Premium Live Events and major shows - they won't be used regularly for Raw and SmackDown. One source told the outlet that last week's SmackDown was the last time that Augmented Reality would be used frequently.

As alluded to, this comes on the heels of WWE looking to scrap their large stage sets and Titantrons in favour of the smaller setup seen for Raw and SmackDown during WrestleMania Weekend. Not only is this design preferred by some fans, but it obviously affords WWE to open up more seating and bring in more revenue.

Due to these changes, WWE will be cutting back on the number of staff and equipment brought to TV for lighting and production, and the company will also be reducing the number of production trucks needed at Raw and SmackDown.
