At last year's Money In The Bank, it was Sheamus who stood victorious, clutching the Money In The Bank briefcase like his life depended on it. The Irishman wouldn't cash in that briefcase until the end of Survivor Series, snatching a sweet moment for Roman Reigns away and becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

In 2015, it was months before Money In The Bank was cashed in. In 2016, it was hardly even a full hour. Gate-crashing the scene, Dean Ambrose decided to hand his briefcase to Mike Chioda and cash in his chance at glory. This came mere minutes after Seth Rollins had beaten Reigns to become champion himself.

In the span of just a few moments, WWE fans went from popping like mad over a Rollins win (more so due to the intense hatred of many towards Roman Reigns), to palming their foreheads in disbelief at another title change.

This year, there was no need to wait. WWE weren't interested in teasing the idea of Ambrose playing mind games, he got straight to the point and won the WWE Title.
