James Ellsworth may have severely tainted her first MITB win, but after winning the chaotic ladder rematch fair-and-square on SmackDown Live in the wake of that controversy Carmella could now proudly call herself Ms. Money in the Bank.
She would hold the briefcase for a record-breaking 287 days before finally successfully cashing-in on Charlotte Flair during the April 10, 2018 episode of SmackDown Live, becoming SmackDown Women's Champion for the first time in her career. Her reign lasted 131 days with Flair winning the title back in a Triple Threat match against Carmella and Becky Lynch at SummerSlam.
Carmella would then align herself with R-Truth in the coming months and the pair went on to appear in multiple 24/7 Title skits which were warmly received by the WWE Universe.
She now calls Friday Night SmackDown on FOX home and recently challenged SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley for her belt on the February 15, 2020 episode of the blue show.
