WWE Night Of Champions 2025: 8 Things That Must Happen
6. Karrion Kross Has Sami Zayn’s Number
If it's nice to see Raquel Rodriguez get a PLE payday, then there should be a bloody post-show party thrown for Karrion Kross getting exactly the same thing. He's actually in a featured bout on a big show for once. For reference, this is the guy’s first singles bout on a supershow since wrestling Drew McIntyre at Crown Jewel 2022 on 5 November that year. Wow. That's ridiculous.
Toss him a bone every once in a while, Triple H.
Karrion's entire story with Sami is that he's been playing mind games aplenty and now Zayn is sick of it. The plus side to this one is that ol' Sam Zayn is skilled enough to lose and still look awesome. Meanwhile, Kross has more support behind him from fans than he's had since the NXT days after recent shoot-style promos. Giving him a boost would be the right thing to do if Hunter plans to make something of Karrion going forwards into the second half of 2025.
Realistically, he deserves the chance to show what he's capable of in a rivalry WWE TV shines a weekly spotlight on. If Goldberg is going to be on Raw over the next few weeks, then Kross should be too. Just saying - put some respect on the man's name and give him some camera time both in-ring and backstage.
A win over someone as cherished as Zayn would go a long, long way towards re-establishing Karrion as somebody you should pay attention to. Let the slow burn 'finding himself' build towards a possible World Title win at 'Mania 42 begin for Sami.
