WWE Night Of Champions 2025: 8 Things That Must Happen
5. Jade Cargill Becomes Queen
Raw’s match vs. Roxanne Perez proved that Jade Cargill still has work to do if she wants to be considered amongst the elite of WWE’s female ranks, but she’s a star on the rise and Triple H reportedly planned to have gold on her long before now anyway. Her road towards holding some singles trinkets begins in earnest at Night Of Champions.
Listen, Asuka is one of the best ever, but she’s pretty much exclusively there as a beatable star name worth caring about. Her job on Saturday will be to squeeze more out of Cargill than Roxanne did. That's not meant as a knock on Perez either. Jade just tends to lose her place when in lengthier matches; she did it in tags with Bianca Belair too, so this is nothing new.
Reps will help iron that out, and there's a bigger upside to her act anyway. Cargill's look is killer, she has charisma just standing still, and fans do react to her power-based flurries during matches. Asuka will understand the assignment and do everything she can to launch Jade into the air as a potential champion in the making at NOC.
Then, Cargill can target IYO SKY or resume her feud with Naomi if the reborn heel cashes in her Money In The Bank briefcase on Tiffany Stratton. Anybody burned out on Jade vs. Naomi following WrestleMania 41 shouldn't fret. They'd be able to rekindle the rivalry, and they'd surely blow it off in style with a big gimmick showdown somewhere down the road.
A storm is coming, and all that.
