WWE No Mercy 2017: 10 Things WWE Got Right

7. Prolonging Alexa's Raw Women's Title Reign

It's fairly obvious that Alexa Bliss will be fed to Asuka when the Japanese sensation recovers from her collarbone injury to debut on the Raw roster. The longest reigning NXT Women's Champion to date was trumpeted as a major part of the 22 October TLC pay-per-view, and that's where she will likely be crowned Raw Women's Champ.

In the mean time then, keeping the Women's Title on Bliss was the right move at No Mercy. She looked cunning by outlasting Emma, Nia Jax, Bayley, and Sasha Banks in a Fatal-5-Way melee, and her menacing snarl post-match may hint at WWE's desire to show another side of Alexa in time for a more serious feud with Asuka.

A title change at No Mercy would have proven pointless due to Asuka's imminent arrival anyway. That belt desperately needs stability too, something it will surely get when the former NXT favourite brings her authentic brand of strikes and submissions to the main roster.
