Fans were under the belief when Finn Balor debuted in NXT in November 2014 that he wouldn't be down in developmental for long. He was already an established competitor during his time in Japan, so relegating him to NXT seemed to be a short-term decision. Once his popularity took off, however, officials made him the face of the brand by giving him the NXT Championship and allowing him to hold it for over nine months.

Well, that reign came to an abrupt end in Lowell at the ends of Samoa Joe. As hyped as everyone in attendance was that they had just witnessed a shocking title change, there was plenty of speculation on social media regarding Balor being main roster bound. His "See you Monday!" line had fans buzzing what that meant for his rumored role in the Balor Club stable alongside Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Truth be told, Balor should have been on Raw long ago, but the timing couldn't be any more perfect at the moment with drama unfolding between AJ Styles and his former stablemates. What better way to introduce Balor to the WWE Universe than by targeting one of the most beloved babyfaces in WWE today?

If this was indeed Balor's swan song, it was a memorable way of going out, doing the honors for Joe and teasing the fans like only he could.
