WrestleMania 32 broke the record for WWE events in terms of sheer length. Clocking in at a mind-blowing 4 hours, 51 minutes and 57 seconds, the show was also backed up by the aforementioned 2-hour Kickoff portion.

That means this year's 'Mania lasted close to 7 hours in total, an incredible duration for one wrestling show.

Whilst it's fine for WWE to bloat proceedings for the biggest show of the year, it did drag on a little towards the end. Payback didn't have the same issues, the 2 hours, 56 minutes and 10 seconds the show used up felt worthwhile.

Add the Kickoff show into matters, and Payback had a total running length of close to 4 hours.

The Kickoff show is optional, it's not part of the main pay-per-view. Aside from a few matches, it's a hype vehicle for the upcoming event. For those who skipped it, Payback was over in a flash compared to WrestleMania.

Payback didn't outstay its welcome at all, it was the ideal length.
