WWE Power Rankings - June 1, 2014

6. Sheamus

Sheamus may be dividing the fans with his stale face run but it didn't stop him from having a successful week. On Monday he hit Cesaro with a Brogue Kick after his match with Rob Van Dam, and later in the show he was victorious in what seems like the hundredth televised match between the two. He carried the momentum through to SmackDown, where he met Intercontinental Champion, Bad News Barrett, in a Champion versus Champion match. Breaking recent tradition, WWE promoted this one heavily. Perhaps the two new champions have been chosen because WWE want to finally renew the importance of the belts, and they certainly did in promoting the clash. The match itself was good, perhaps not as epic as set up, but it gave a decisive winner. And that man was the Irishman. After the match he acted like an unwarranted bully by intimidating Paul Heyman, who had done nothing against him, but the fans were into it.
