WWE: Ranking Bret Hart's 14 Matches At WrestleMania

5. WrestleMania 7 - Hart Foundation vs. Nasty Boys

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02BpjHteSb8 If you were to talk about the best tag teams in WWE during the late 1980s/early 1990s the Nasty Boys wouldn't be at the top of the list. They were a brawling team known for being...well nasty. That's a good word for them. They weren't the most graceful team to watch either. They did what they were good at. The Hart Foundation went into this match as the tag champs while the Knobbs & Saggs were a heel team managed by Jimmy Hart. It should be noted that Jimmy Hart was involved in all three tag Hart Foundation tags at WrestleMania with him on the opposite side twice and on their side once. Once again, Jimmy was the difference in the outcome of the match. Even though the Hart Foundation was able to hit their Hart Attack finisher, they didn't get the win. Saggs ended up using Jimmy's helmet to hit Neidhart in the back of the head and Knobbs covered for the win after 12 minutes of action. I liked the booking of the match. The offense of the Nasty Boys was pretty bad as usual, but they were able to get through it. You could see that Bret was the ring general in the match and a lot of the key spots went through. They busted out all the standard tag team tricks with false tags, distractions, a lot of great comeback spots and a well crafted finish. This match was the near end of the road for the Hart Foundation as a team. Later that year at SummerSlam 1991, Bret won his first singles title by beating Mr. Perfect for the Intercontinental Title and he went on to become one of the best singles wrestlers ever.
