WWE: Ranking Hulk Hogan's WrestleMania Moments From Worst To Best

1. Wrestlemania 3 - Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOCqV23VkXU We're Here. No not The Wyatt Family, we have arrived at Hulk Hogan's greatest Wrestlemania moment ever. How could it not be? It is arguably the biggest moment in the entire genre, so by default I should not have to write anything further, but lets dive into a few things. In 1987 over 93,000 people reportedly witnessed Wrestlemania III, and this was the match that brought them in the building. Hulk Hogan, the WWE Champion of the last 3 years at his absolute zenith against Andre The Giant, a man billed as undefeated for 15 years, although past his prime, was still the biggest attraction in the sports history. Andre had aligned himself with Bobby Heenan, who got inside Andre's head about Hogan never offering him a shot at the title. The deal was sealed on an episode of Piper's Pit where Andre ripped off Hogan's crucifix and left his shirt bloodstained. I'll always remember Hogan stating, "What are you doing with him?" The storytelling in this match should be a mandatory watch for any wrestler attempting to get in the business. Early in the match Hogan went for a bodyslam which nearly lost him the match immediately, and both men began building the arc from there. Andre was becoming increasingly immobile but he was sold as so intelligent and not to mention powerful, that it did not matter what his "workrate" was. When these two engaged in a bearhug it felt like Andre could kill Hogan, and literally squeeze the life out of him. They had the fans in the palm of their hands. When Hogan was able to lift up Andre for the body slam, the impact was more than a loud sound. It was a sound and feeling that Hulk Hogan had arrived as a megastar, that he was collectively the fans guy, and could beat anyone. Even a giant. I'm not going to sit here and tell you it was an exciting match by 2013's standards, but place yourself in 1987 watch the fans elation after the match and feel the nervousness in the arena. Hogan was a giant slayer. Truly the biggest moment of his career. If Hulk Hogan was Michael Jackson, Wrestlemania 3 was his "Thriller."
