WWE: Ranking Hulk Hogan's WrestleMania Moments From Worst To Best

6. Wrestlemania - The Genesis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8p88I9yBQU Vince McMahon laid it all on the line in March of 1985. There were entertainers, legends of sport, and top fashion icons. At the center of it was WWE Champion Hulk Hogan. Hogan teamed with Mr.T, of Rocky & A-Team fame, to take on Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff, who later in life beat up Vader, and the most vile heel of the time, Rowdy Roddy Piper. Cowboy Bob Orton was there sporting the cast on his arm that probably still has not healed, while The G.O.A.T Muhammad Ali was the outside referee, whatever that is. The foundation had been laid for an epic encounter. This was an attraction. A huge moment in pop culture, and as Jesse Ventura said "The Biggest Match In The History Of Wrestling" up until this point. Gorilla Monsoon made a sit out sound like the greatest thing ever, and oversold any type of offense Mr. T mounted. Piper and T slapped each other back and forth enough times to make Antonio Inoki cringe. In the end, Cowboy Bob Orton would do his own team in, with a flying cast shot that missed Hogan and connected with Orndorff and left him in a Manny Pacquiao type state. Jokes. LOL. This was a celebrity match that laid the groundwork for all others to come. I really enjoyed it and recommend it if you want to see an electric atmosphere. Hulkamania was prime for takeoff from here. He had celebrity friends, been in movies, was the world champion and had just defeated evil. I just cannot rank it above the following moments.
