Unfortunately, a match between Jinder Mahal and Jack Swagger was bereft of any real heat this week. That's partly due to the fact that Swagger hasn't been on television for a while, but also down to the fact that WWE's writing squad haven't presented he or Mahal as serious threats during their matches.

It was Jinder who picked up the win on this occasion, which will hopefully get the ball rolling for him. Mahal has potential as a mid-card heel, especially if he's going to wax lyrical about peace and other things sure to irk the audience.

One thing glossed over in this segment might be that Swagger is potentially on his way out of the company. After losing, a short backstage skit aired between Jack and Tom Phillips.

The wrestler didn't say anything, but his announcing colleague revealed that Swagger's WWE contract is up for renewal soon. Specifically, Phillips noted that Swagger's Raw deal was about to expire. Could this mean a jump to SmackDown for the 'Real American'?

If nothing else, it looks like Jack Swagger's Raw days are numbered, but the segment was over so quick that some may have missed it.
