WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Feb 15)

9. WrestleMania's Undercard Is Taking Shape

Stephanie McMahon vindictively booked Dean Ambrose to defend his Intercontinental Title in a Fatal 5-Way match, and it was no surprise when Kevin Owens pinned Tyler Breeze to win the belt for the second time. Nor was it a bad booking decision - this frees Ambrose up for main event-level programs (even giving a bit of plausibility to his quest to headline WrestleMania against Triple H), and it likely means that Owens will defend the title at WrestleMania. Owens is one of the best workers in the company, and the right match would go a long way in beefing up a weak show. Owens could take on AJ Styles, whom he eliminated in the Royal Rumble match, but an even better opponent would be Sami Zayn. Owens and Zayn feuded last spring until the prizefighter (kayfabe) injured his former friend's shoulder. Zayn returned in the Royal Rumble to eliminate Owens, and while he's since returned to NXT, a blowoff to the program at WrestleMania would strengthen the show - and the Intercontinental Title.
