The late, great Eddie Guerrero was referenced several times on this week's Monday Night Raw. Michael Cole made a big deal out of discussing his impact on Sasha Banks, calling Eddie her main inspiration growing up. Then, Seth Rollins also missed a Frog Splash during his match against John Cena.

Cole's partner in crime at ringside, JBL was brought up at one point in the show too. According to the commentators, Raw marked 12 full years to the day since JBL defeated Guerrero at the 2004 Great American Bash to become WWE Champion. Little facts like that should be welcomed on WWE programming, because they help add depth.

On June 27, 2004, Guerrero and JBL had one hell of a Texas Bullrope Match. It was a colossal moment for the current commentator, being crowned WWE Champ for the first time in his lengthy career.

While reflective, JBL nonetheless didn't spend too much time talking about his crowning achievement. He simply turned his attention back to what was happening in front of him with the current roster, the way it should be.
