WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (May 30)

2. The Stalest Wrestler In The World?

If there's one wrestler in the company truly in need of an overhaul, it's Dolph Ziggler. "The Showoff" has long been one of the most impressive wrestlers on the company's roster, but his character has been undermined so many times and has shown so little growth that it feels like he's even more in need of a heel turn than Roman Reigns.

This was on full display during Dolph's promo prior to his "technical wrestling match" with Baron Corbin. After putting over his own amateur wrestling skills, Dolph segued into a promo about Dean Malenko and Chris Jericho, their mastery of technical wrestling and holds, and how both men could be seen on the WWE Network. If that wasn't bad enough (and it was - the promo was unwieldy and felt scripted even by WWE standards), Dolph began delivering his own version of Jericho's famous "1,004 holds" promo. Dolph's, of course, came off as incredibly lame and fake.

When he and Corbin actually tangled, Dolph showed some edge by kicking "The Lone Wolf" low and immediately getting disqualified. That's a start, but anything short of a full-fledged turn won't be enough to save "The Showoff."
