WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (May 30)
3. Dana's Push Continues
The sole women's match on the show pitted Natalya against Dana Brooke, who joined forces with Women's Champion Charlotte at Extreme Rules to help her retain the title against Nattie. Brooke picked up the win, then she and Charlotte attacked Natalya until Becky Lynch made the save.
The segment was notable for two reasons - first, the fact that Becky Lynch ran in for the save (and seems to be getting set up as the next contender to Charlotte's title) seems particularly ill-advised given that Sasha Banks is back from injury. The story all along has been that WWE is keeping Sasha off TV so that they can give her a grand return en route to a title win at SummerSlam, but the longer they keep her away, the more harm they're doing to her. She's been cleared for competition, so she should have a part in this storyline.
Secondly, Brooke's win is notable. Typically, babyfaces beat heels' flunkies in one on one matches, but the fact that Natalya came up short shows that the company has plans for Dana Brooke. One can imagine that before long, she and Charlotte will be at each other's throats, just as was rumored.
