N is for New World Order

We're not going to talk about the WWE version of the NWO with Shawn Michaels in charge and Booker T trying his damnedest to get involved. No, we mention the NWO in relation to RAW as without Hulk Hogan, Scott Haul and Kevin Nash, the WWE would never have upped there game and created the Attitude Era that brought about some of the best wrestling TV moments of all time.

Of course things could have been very different. The NWO could have caused the downfall of McMahon's empire. But as always Vince and co were able to ride out the storm and have remained on top ever since. Whether WWE would have ever found itself as the number 2 promotion again had WCW not gone under is anyone's guess, and with no legitimate threats to the crown around today we will likely never find out.

For us all the memorable moments in the WWE from 1997-2001 were thanks to the competition from the NWO.
