WWE RAW 2/24/2014 Review: 5 Things We Learned

5. Hulk Hogan Returns Home To The WWE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l16A0RBhLCE What a great sight to see Hulk Hogan back home. Say what you will about him, he is still one of the greatest icons in the history of the industry, and a legend across the entire planet who needs no introduction. With Real American blaring across the sound system, the red and yellow lights panning across the arena crowd, and the fantastic boa around his neck, Hulkamania was unleashed upon the WWE Universe for probably one final time. Hogan's return would have been better served if saved for later in the broadcast this week, though. WWE should have allowed for a nice buildup to take place throughout the evening prior to his return, saving him for maybe the 2nd hour or to kick off the 3rd hour. It would have felt even bigger, but they popped that balloon first thing when they went on the air this week, and this huge return lost some of its luster. Hogan's opening promo was still great, even though he nearly lost his train of thought midway through. He was able to stay on point, remind us all that the WWE Network was online and open for business, and tell us that he will be the host of Wrestlemania XXX this year. I can't say enough great things about how excited I am that he has returned: he is by far my most favorite wrestler of all time, from back in the old territory days and onto the early years of Saturday Night's Main Event. Welcome home, Brother...now take us down that Road to Wrestlemania XXX!
