4. CM Punk Destroys Curtis Axel
Poor Curtis Axel. Even wearing the WWE Intercontinental Championship and being paired with Paul Heyman can't save the young prospect for the agnst of CM Punk. And with Punk hot off a huge loss and 5 star match with Brock Lesnar at Summerslam, he was ready to destroy something or someone. And Curtis Axel was just in the way. This continues the CM Punk / Paul Heyman dynamic. Punk has yet to really get his hands on Heyman, and you can expect it will happen eventually so the payoff to this storyline turns out huge. Lesnar will take a week or two away from TV, but a rematch with Punk is inevitable; though it's hard to imagine the two men putting on a better show than they did at Summerslam.
