With the past several months seeing various rumblings of current Ring of Honor World Champion RUSH signing with WWE, it’s now being reported that WWE did indeed offer put an offer on the table to bring in the much-touted star.

As per WrestlingINC, the offer made to RUSH was said to be way below what the Los Ingobernables favourite was expecting. With AAA representing RUSH during these talks, negotiations ended when WWE ultimately decided that the two-time ROH Champ’s asking price was too high.

Of course, this continues the trend of WWE making lowball offers to current and prospective WWE talent.

RUSH had previously signed an ROH deal in January 2019, and the belief is that he’s either re-signed with the promotion or has agreed in principal to a new deal.

The last time RUSH was in action was back at December’s Final Battle PPV, successfully retaining the ROH World Championship against Brody King.

WWE is known to be long-time admirers of both RUSH and his brother Dragon Lee, although it now appears as if RUSH at least won’t be heading to WWE any time soon. As for Dragon Lee, his ROH deal was believed to be expiring in December 2020, but there’s no word yet on what the future holds for the ROH Television Champion.
