WWE Reportedly Handed Fans Cody Rhodes Signs On Raw
Triple H leans into the loud #WeWantCody movement via WWE's flagship show.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE officials handed out various signs related to Cody Rhodes at last night's episode of Raw. Fans in St. Louis, Missouri were given placards to hold up that leaned into the recent #WeWantCody movement on social media.
The live crowd duly obliged by waving the signs around in the background for much of the night. That made for an excellent backdrop as a smiling Cody made his entrance for a segment with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
Is there more to this than meets the eye? Some online believe Triple H knows exactly what he's doing here. All will be revealed come WWE's WrestleMania 40 press conference on Thursday. There, people may find out once and for all whether or not the company plans to go with The Rock vs. Roman Reigns, Cody vs. Roman or a three-way scenario involving all of them.
If nothing else, at least Rhodes' popularity has gone through the roof during all of this Rock-induced hysteria.
PWInsider also reported that booming "We Want Cody" chants could be heard live in the arena. Some of those came across on TV too.
