WWE announced that Seth Rollins will make his long-awaited TV return next week during last night's episode of SmackDown.

Rollins, who appeared in last Sunday's Royal Rumble match (he entered at #29, eliminated three wrestlers and lasted almost nine minutes), hasn't been seen on the blue brand in months. In fact, he last showed up on SmackDown before Survivor Series last November.

Back then, Seth's booking explored his part on Team SmackDown in the traditional elimination bout. He also seemed to have some beef with Daniel Bryan before going off on paternity leave to welcome his first child into the world with partner Becky Lynch.

Now, Rollins is ready to rock and roll again.

His return is very welcome for SmackDown right now. The show's roster could do with another upper-card heel to complement the 'Tribal Chief' antics of Roman Reigns. Seth could fit snugly into the Intercontinental Title scene opposite Big E or feud with others like Bryan.

WWE are keeping quiet on what they have planned for Rollins, but he will be on FOX next week. Stay tuned for more info when it becomes available.
