What a difference a crowd makes. On occasion, WWE's talent roster performs in front of a live audience which clearly wants to be there. It's mind-boggling when they don't, because who would buy tickets to sit and bash the product relentlessly? Stunningly, some fans do this, perhaps out of frustration over the current status quo in the promotion.

Roadblock did feature little pockets of what may be deemed rebellion, such as some audience members shouting for CM Punk during the Triple H vs. Dean Ambrose headline bout. Such moments were fleeting however, people simply looked like they were there to enjoy Roadblock for what it was.

That only helped the show as a whole, because it would have been easy for the crowd to rubbish throwaway matches like Sami Zayn vs. Stardust or even Chris Jericho vs. Jack Swagger. Folks seemed comfortable with the house show like atmosphere, and that was of great benefit to Roadblock.
