2. The Champion Enters The Rumble

Randy Orton and The Authority have proved time and time again how calculated they are. Right now they appear to splintering ... but that could all be part of the machinations of keeping the title on Randy. Imagine if Batista is about to win the Rumble when the number 30 buzzer hits... and out comes WWE Champion Randy Orton flanked by the Authority. It would be the stunning moment that serves as the center piece to the evening, after appearing to endorse Batista the Authority in fact screw him. Unprecedentedly the Champion could enter as HHH argues with Batista, leading to Orton eliminating the Animal and winning the Rumble. What a story that would be! This would work well for a lot of reasons. It's new and intriguing. What happens to the main event shot if the winner is already Champion? People would be compelled to tune into Raw. It also gives some need for the awkward February PPV - WWE can clear the situation up there. It might seem unimaginable right now for Orton to win the PPV (imagine the odds at the bookmakers) but if it did transpire it would end up one of the greatest WWE shocking moments of all time.
