It is currently scheduled for the PPV kickoff show, which would make it all the more shocking if they actually won. There are several reasons that WWE may be considering having Cody Rhodes and Goldust lose. It would add a degree of prestige to these kickoff shows, which at the minute are completely missable. Another reason is that many observers have predicted that Cody and Goldust will split soon. A Wrestlemania match between the pair has been rumoured. The loss at the Royal Rumble could be the start of the brothers falling out, beginning in the loss and perhaps advancing in the Rumble itself. Goldust turning on his brother and eliminating him (a bit like Sandow did to Cody at MITB) would be an emotionally raw moment of the hour contest. Every now and again an upset has to happen in the WWE. The New Age Outlaws winning would certainly provide that for the evening.
