WWE Royal Rumble 2016: 10 Things We Learned

1. Triple H And Roman Reigns Are Set For WrestleMania Collision

That 'Mania headliner is between Roman Reigns and Triple H, only with the babyface in the challenger role. WWE seem determined to give Reigns that huge feel good moment, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title in the main event of WrestleMania. It's something that could work, although there were some boos ringing out in Orlando for Reigns when he returned to the action late on. There's a pattern to WWE's booking of Reigns, they seem to believe that he's worth fans getting behind. In order to ensure that happens, the creative team have put many storyline road blocks in his way, and they even protected him a little during the Royal Rumble. Had Triple H lastly eliminated Reigns to win the thing, there would have been embarrassingly loud cheers which would only serve to undermine the story. As things stand, Triple H is the heel who swooped in at #30 and stole Roman's prize. That's a simple tale, but one that could prove effective come 'Mania. One thing has become abundantly clear; WWE will run with Triple H vs. Roman Reigns on the biggest show of the year, for better or for worse. There will always be those fans who disagree with match decisions, but this appears to be your WrestleMania 32 main event in the making.
