3. Iron Man Wins

Most bookies have Seth Rollins pegged as the favourite to win this year's men's Rumble, with Braun Strowman, John Cena, and Drew McIntyre comprising the chasing pact. He doesn't feel like a certainty, but it's hard to make a case for anyone else at the moment. Add reports that Vince McMahon wants to have 'The Kingslayer' face Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 to the equation and Rollins is as safe a pick as you'll find.

The problem with Seth is that he, like almost everyone else in this company, is an imperfect headliner. He's exceedingly popular, the most consistent guy on Raw, an elite athlete, and a marketer's dream. On the flipside, his pay-per-view performances veer from sublime (vs. The Miz, Backlash 2018) to listless (vs. Dean Ambrose, TLC 2018) and his babyface promos take regular trips through Cringe City.

What he could really use is the ultimate Royal Rumble rub, and given that last year's record-breaking Raw gauntlet proved him an outstanding iron man, having him go 50-60 minutes en route to winning the bout would help push him over the edge.
