There was a time when Roman Reigns wrestling twice on any WWE pay-per-view would've had some reaching for the sick bags. The thing is, Reigns hasn't been the beneficiary of a relentless main event push in a long damn time, and he's actually hearing cheers these days. Imagine that.

WWE can play with the minds of those who suddenly adore the 'Big Dog'.

'King' Corbin should kayfabe injure Roman during their 'Falls Count Anywhere' match early in the show and leave things hanging in the balance. The commentators can pile on the doubts by questioning if Reigns should even bother trying to win a match as dangerous as the Rumble; maybe WWE could book a spot in the women's Rumble that sees someone eliminated due to injury? Set the scene and all that.

Instantly, the entire pay-per-view would become a melodramatic question about whether or not Roman could compete in the 30-man tradition. Cue endless loops of Corbin laughing his arse off with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode to up the sympathy.
