WWE Royal Rumble 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen
7. Shorty G Outwrestles Sheamus
It felt like a missed opportunity for progression when Sheamus began chewing through Shorty G for having the gall to wrestle despite not being The Great Khali. This "he so tiny" crud rages on, and that means Sheamus has been repackaged as some sort of 2020 version of Ryback's bully boy character.
Thrilling.
At the Rumble, WWE can soothe any worries that the story is one-dimensional garbage by having Chad Gable out-wrestle the Irishman and turn any smaller stature into an advantage. Then, when Sheamus inevitably thumps G with his Brogue Kick, at least the pair will have some sort of meat on the bone to work with going forwards.
Sheamus absolutely shouldn't lose his first pay-per-view match back, but he also shouldn't squish Shorty G like he's 'Johnny Boots N' Tights' and this is a jobber match on SmackDown. If that happens, then Shorty will become more redundant than WWE's booking of him thus far.
