WWE Royal Rumble 2024: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. Cody Rhodes Wins Out Again

If Austin does eliminate Punk, then that obviously takes CM out of the running to win the men's Rumble and clears the way for Cody Rhodes to "Finish The Story". Or, move closer to doing exactly that at least. Yes, it is risky to book a repeat winner two years running, but Rhodes is popular enough to make it work.

The dude navigated choppy waters before after failing to beat Roman Reigns at 'Mania 39. Many believed his babyface fires would die out after that, but they didn't. His popularity has endured, so most fans would accept Cody winning the Rumble again if WWE put the Undisputed strap on him this April.

They'd kinda have to. He can't exactly lose again.

The Rock would be Trips' elephant in the room on this occasion if Dwayne Johnson is even able to appear on Saturday. Fair enough, but Cody finishing his story should take priority. WWE can always book Rock vs. Roman elsewhere after WrestleMania.
