WWE Royal Rumble 2025: Predicting All 30 Entrants

11. Sheamus

Sheamus hasn't wrestled since WWE's Survivor Series 2024, but he did recently put pen to paper on a bumper new five year contract with the market leader that ties him down until 2030. To celebrate, the Irishman will presumably waltz into the Rumble and club a few fools with his fists as Indianapolis counts along and the likes of Gable, Nakamura and maybe even Logan Paul end up with bruised chests.

Oh yes, Sheamus is the latest to enter this year's mini 'solid hand' club. He isn't there to win, but instead to add legacy star power and work the intense, physical style he favours. Old pal Hunter will almost definitely chuck a few eliminations his way to keep a smile on Sheamus's face.

10 beats of the bodhran. GO!

12. Rey Mysterio

It should be written into Royal Rumble law that WWE books Rey Mysterio favourably in each match to make up for the car crash they put him through during a rather controversial 2014 for the company. There, the masked legend suffered apathy (and even some scathing boos) from a live crowd furious that firm fave Daniel Bryan wasn't #30. It was a miserable chapter in Rey's career, and one he'd rather forget.

Mysterio sprinting out as #12 gives Michael Cole and other announcers the chance to reflect on his shock win in 2006. His follow up World Title triumph was one of the most surprising in WWE history, so the commentators will wax lyrical about lightning striking twice nearer the end of Rey's run. It won't, but they have to at least try to tell some stories in the middle part of the match.

Also, a 619 on Chad Gable is a must. Just don't miss the "1" or Netflix will be in touch.
