WWE Royal Rumble: Best Performances From Every Entry Slot
17. Sheamus - 2014
While Sheamus was beaten to the best No. 22 performance by Triple H, there is no denying him the No. 17 crown. In the 2014 Rumble, The Celtic Warrior battled his way to a third place finish behind Roman Reigns and eventual winner Batista.
When the winner of the 2012 Royal Rumble came into the ring, he was met by the full power of The Shield, but not even Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns could contain the Irishman, who tore the three men apart.
This was the first time Sheamus had seen WWE action in several months after missing time with a torn labrum, but on his return he didn't miss a beat. Incredibly, the crowd favourite only eliminated one man throughout the entire match, when he sent Big E off the apron with a clothesline.
Eventually, Sheamus was sent out of the match by Roman Reigns, stopping The Celtic Warrior from reaching the heights of 2012. Though he didn't win, this was the third year in a row Sheamus made the final three, demonstrating his prowess in this type of match.
