WWE Royal Rumble: Best Performances From Every Entry Slot
6. Kane - 2001
The 2001 Royal Rumble was nothing short of incredible. Al Snow and Raven brought the hardcore element, Drew Carey and The Honky Tonk Man made appearances, and Kane put on a show for the ages. Entering at No. 6, Kane eliminated a then record 11 superstars (a record that would not be beaten for 13 years).
The next five entrants, Raven, Al Snow, Perry Saturn, Steve Blackman, and Grand Master Sexay, became the next five to be eliminated, all at the hands of Kane, using each of their skulls to destroy a dustbin. Shortly after, Kane almost took The Honky Tonk Man's head off with his own guitar before battling the No. 13 entrant The Rock.
The People's Champ would eventually be eliminated by Kane to finish third, but not before Tazz, Crash Holly, Albert, and Scotty 2 Hotty, with the help of his Brother of Destruction.
The final two men were The Big Red Machine and The Rattlesnake. Kane had been in the ring for almost an hour at this point, and Austin had taken a beating at the hands of Triple H, yet both men gave everything right up to the last second. It took a Stunner, three chair shots, and a clothesline to eliminate Kane, ending one of the most dominant performances in the history of the Royal Rumble.
