Bliss and Bayley were victims of a silly Kendo Stick on a Pole stipulation at Extreme Rules, and WWE screwed the women even further by only booking them a five-minute slot.

The match was not long enough to conclude a narrative started in its early going, when the former RAW Women’s Champion showed hesitation to use the weapon against Bliss.

Things came to an abrupt end following a flurry of kendo shots and a DDT on Bayley, who did not have the time to put in a fighting performance as she succumed easily to defeat.

Bayley’s good-natured character was pushed too far here. In the months prior, she had doubted her credentials as champion, and that she was not willing to go to extreme measures, while complying with the rules, to get the title back made her look very weak.
