WWE SmackDown: 10 Things You May Have Missed (Nov 1)

4. SmackDown's New Backstage Announcer Forgot James Ellsworth's Name

Previously, Dasha Fuentes was an active part of the wrestling roster on NXT programming. Making her debut in 2015, Fuentes then quickly transitioned into the role of being a backstage announcer and interviewer. Now, she has made her way to the SmackDown Live roster, taking her bow when attempting to catch a word with Alexa Bliss and Carmella.

Dasha's next appearance came backstage. Approaching Dean Ambrose, she was supposed to ask whether or not Dean could successfully stop James Ellsworth from trying to help him defeat AJ Styles in the show's main event. Hesitating, Fuentes somehow managed to completely butcher Ellsworth's name.

Calling the man 'James Ellis', Dasha was later corrected by a bemused Ambrose as he gave his response. In fairness to the backstage interviewer, it actually feeds into the rapid rise story of Ellsworth if several WWE staff are unable to remember what he's even called.

That doesn't change the fact that this was a mistake. Hopefully, Dasha Fuentes won't go on to become the next Mike Adamle on WWE's top shows.
